"alter" Scheinwerfer

Hallo

wie sieht das aus mit der Montage eines "alten" Vrod Scheinwerfers auf einer neuen (08er) Night Rod:


geht das problemlos?
Wie wird der Scheinwerfer montiert ?

gibt es die "alten" Scheinwerfer irgendwo zu kaufen ?
von wann bis wann sind die verbaut worden ?

der scheinwerfer wird über den träger an die obere gabelbrücke mittels 2 schrauben befestigt. die "normalen" v-rods haben dort eine aussparrung. ob die VRSCDX auch eine aussparrung hat keine ahnung. könnte ich mir aber vorstellen. kaufen kannst du die.. schau mal in der bucht. da gibt es immer mal wieder welche.

Ich hab den Umbau selber auch gemacht. Du benötigst drei Teile:

1. Die Halterung für das Scheinwerfergehäuse (selbe Befestigungspunkte wie bei deiner NRS Lampe, 2 Gewinde in der Aussparung der oberen Gabelbrücke)
2. Den Scheinwerfer Einsatz
3. Das Scheinwerfergehäuse

Der Umbau geht problemlos, nur die Kabel müssen evtl. etwas anders gesplittet werden, da je nach Scheinwerferausrüstung am V-Rod Scheinwerfer zwei gesonderte Birnen (Abblend-/Fernlicht) H9 und H11 verbaut sind. Am NRS Scheinwerfer ist das in einer Birne zusammengefasst.

Ist aber kein Problem, da du Birnen und Stecker übers Internet günstig bekommst. Kann dir gerne meine Lieferadresse für die Stecker nennen, das ging flott. Die findste aber leider nicht im normalen Autozubehör- oder Boschdienst!

Bezüglich der ebay Angebote unbedingt immer nachfragen, ob der Scheinwerfereinsatz ein "E" Zeichen hat, sonst kriegste TÜV Probleme. Also Vorsicht bei US Bestellung!

I was finally able to look in the box that was delivered yesterday here at work and I am happy to say, my DX will have a black "R" light on it, either tonight or tomorrow.

The "R" light is the same as, or close to, the "A" light.

If you are interested in doing this, here are the part numbers. My total cost delivered was $180 (from Zanotti):

3832M (2 each) - The screws that connect the light assy to the bracket.
3709M (2 each) - The screws that connect the bracket to the triple tree.
67657-05 (1 each) - The jumper cable that separated the high and low beam to the respective bulb.
69860-07 (1 each) - The bracket in black that holds the light assy.
69873-07 (1 each) - The light assembly that had the black bucket and the bulbs included.

From looking at the parts, it appears that no powder coating is necessary so this is an all black mod (except the screws).
